At least 10 independent filmmakers have been arrested or summoned by the Iranian judiciary since May this year, all on opaque security charges, and with an uptick after several Iranian works featured at Cannes Film Festival. This cartoon was published in the wake of news that Jafar Panahi and Mohammad Rasoulof, two of Iran's most decorated directors, were the latest to have been detained in Iran alongside noted documentary maker Mostafa Aleahmad.
