Leggings-gate
The Iranian parliament convened a special session this week to address the alarming rise in the public wearing of leggings. Parliamentarians summoned the Interior Minister and interrogated him about his laxness in the face of the legging surge, with many arguing vehemently that leggings could not, did not, and would never, qualify as pants (or trousers, in the usage of colonial Britian). Lawmakers displayed images of the offending garments in making their case.
