Molotov Attack on Presidential Candidate's Office in Iran, Suspect Arrested

A citizen has been arrested for throwing a Molotov cocktail at presidential candidate Saeed Jalili's campaign office in Iran's northeastern Mashhad on Friday. 

Mohsen Davari, the governor of Mashhad, confirmed the arrest, stating that police apprehended the suspect immediately after the attack. 

However, details about the accused's identity and motives have not been disclosed.

The attack was captured on surveillance footage, which has since circulated on social media. 

The video shows an individual throwing an incendiary object at the entrance of Jalili's headquarters before fleeing the scene.

Mostafa Bagherzadeh, the coordinator of Jalili's campaign in Razavi Khorasan province, told state news agency IRNA that the attack occurred around 6:00 PM on Thursday.
