Mohammad Salim Pirouzi died in a car accident while returning to Urmia after watching Persepolis’ match against Al Nassr, the club announced.
According to Persepolis’ statement, the accident occurred as Pirouzi was traveling back from Azadi Stadium.
His brother, Hamid Pirouzi, was severely injured in the crash and remains in critical condition.
Mohammad Salim, known as Milad to family and friends, was a talented young player.
This is the second fatal accident involving Persepolis fans in recent months.
In December, female supporter Sadaf Khaleghi died when her car caught fire while returning from a Persepolis match against Nassaji.
Two other female fans in the vehicle were seriously injured.
