Parisa Salehi, a journalist, has stated that she has been summoned to the Karaj Justice Department to begin her 5-month prison term.

In a social media post, she mentioned: "I received a notification yesterday, instructing me to report to the 7th Branch of Karaj Execution of Sentences office within the next five days to commence serving the sentence."

Back in February, Salehi was initially sentenced to one year in prison, accompanied by two years of travel ban, two years of prohibition from online activities, and two years of exile to Zanjan.

The ruling was issued by the head of the first branch of the Karaj Revolutionary Court on charges of "propaganda against the Islamic Republic."

Although her one-year prison sentence was later reduced to 5 months in the appeals court, the supplementary sentences imposed by the court were upheld during the appeals process.

Salehi has pointed out various irregularities in the legal proceedings, including the denial of her right to a retrial.
