Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence has arrested Mohammad Moini, a former journalist and blogger, on the one-year anniversary of the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody.
Announcing this development today Moini's wife revealed on the X social media platform that her husband was arrested at their home.
In one of his recent posts on X Moini described the heightened security situation in the city of Zanjan in the north of the country on Friday, reporting the presence of armed forces and members of Basij paramilitary forces on motorcycles without number plates.
Moini is the admin of the “Raz -e- Sar Be Mohr” blog (the name means “A Sealed Secret”), which started its activities in 2003.
He was expelled from university for his writings on the blog while pursuing a master’s degree.
