Reza Amanifar, a member of the Bushehr Teachers Union, was arrested by security forces during a teacher gathering on Thursday in Bushehr in southwestern Iran.
His whereabouts remain unknown at the time of publishing this report.
The teacher's arrest comes amidst a nationwide call for teacher protests organized by the Coordinating Council of Teachers Union.
Following the announcement, reports surfaced of threats and summons targeting teachers and union activists across the country.
Esmail Abdi, a Tehran Teachers Union board member, was summoned by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps intelligence on Wednesday.
Abdi, previously imprisoned for his activism, was recently released but has not been able to return to work.
