The Revolutionary Guards Intelligence Department has threatened local businesses participating in a widespread strike in Kurdish city of Mahabad.
The work stoppage, which began on Sunday, the second anniversary of Mahsa Amini's death in custody, has been met with a harsh response from authorities.

According to two sources who spoke to IranWire, security agencies have been contacting marketers and shopkeepers, threatening them with "security case filings" if they refuse to reopen their shops.
The intimidation tactic appears to be a direct attempt to quash the peaceful protest.
Plainclothes intelligence forces from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) are also marking shops for identification.
In some cases, the agents have resorted to destructive measures, breaking locks and damaging shutters of closed businesses.
