Russia’s embassy in Tehran released a video on Tuesday showing a Russian aircraft dropping water on fires in Bandar Abbas.
This contradicts statements from Iranian officials who previously claimed that Russian planes were not used in the response.
On Monday, Iran's Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni said that while Russian planes had arrived, they "have not been needed so far."

Meanwhile, Iran’s ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, confirmed that Russia sent three firefighting aircraft and rescue teams following the explosion at Shahid Rajaee Port on Saturday.
The Russian embassy said its emergency ministry carried out a "priceless and brave" operation alongside Iranian counterparts in Bandar Abbas.
The port explosion has killed more than 70 people. Nearly a week later, authorities are still working to identify the victims.
