Four Prisoners Executed in Isfahan on Drug Charges

Four prisoners convicted on drug-related charges were executed at dawn on Monday in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan.

Haalvsh human rights website has identified three of the executed prisoners as Mohammad Totazahi, 26, Abdolrashid Barahouei, 41, and Ruhollah Palangi, 36.

HRANA website identified the fourth executed prisoner as Marjan Sabzi, a woman previously arrested and sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court on drug charges.

Palangi was arrested five years ago in Isfahan on drug-related charges and later sentenced to death.

Totazahi and Barahouei were arrested in October 2019 in Ardestan County in a joint drug case and were subsequently sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court.
