A court in the United Kingdom is hearing the case of a 19-year-old Norwegian youth whom the prosecution accuses of entering the country to carry out a "contract assassination."
According to the prosecution's claim, the individual, identified as Johannes Natland, was arrested at a hotel in the town of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire on March 19, 2025, after traveling to the UK using an emergency passport. At the time of his arrest, officers discovered two firearms and 12 rounds of live ammunition in his possession.
The prosecution stated that he retrieved these weapons from a "dead drop" in a wooded area within the same town and had previously been guided by unidentified individuals to various locations, including the hotel, a cash pickup point, and the weapon storage site.
Johannes Natland has pleaded guilty to the illegal possession of firearms but has denied the charge of conspiracy to murder.
During the court session, Alistair Richardson, the case prosecutor, alleged that Natland had been recruited by a network known as "Foxtrot," a group he described as a Swedish organized crime network that is "utilized by the Iranian regime."
The prosecutor also stated that Natland had been dispatched to the UK in exchange for money to carry out an assassination, although it remains unclear who the intended target of the operation was.
This case is being examined in British courts while all the allegations raised thus far remain at the stage of judicial proceedings, and a final verdict has not yet been issued.
