In a report to member states on Thursday, June 4, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) once again called on the Islamic Republic to “immediately” explain the fate of its enriched uranium stockpiles following last year’s US and Israeli attacks on the country’s nuclear facilities.
The report also urged the authorities of the Islamic Republic to provide the necessary conditions for the full resumption of inspections.
Reuters, which obtained access to the confidential report, wrote that the IAEA Director General emphasized to officials of the Islamic Republic that implementing the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) Safeguards Agreement is an essential and urgent matter, and that the Islamic Republic cannot suspend the implementation of these commitments under any circumstances.
