Saqqez - Videos shared on social media suggest that troops are being deployed to Saqqez and other cities in Kurdistan province, four days ahead of the anniversary of Mahsa Amini's death.
One of the clips shows trucks carrying special forces on the road between Bijar and Diwandareh cities.
Their potential destination could be Diwandareh or Saqqez, where Amini is buried.
The Iranian authorities, fearing a flare up in protests ahead of the September 16 anniversary of Amini's death in police custody, have ramped up security measures in Kurdistan, particularly in Saqqez.
Activists, athletes and ordinary citizens have been arrested or summoned by security authorities across the province in recent days, while cities have experienced a significant slowdown in internet speed over the past 48 hours.
