Iranian armed forces have reportedly shot a young man in the head near the cemetery where Mahsa Amini is buried in the Kurdish town of Saqqez.
Today is the one-year anniversary of the death of the 22-year-old woman in police custody that sparked months of protests across the country.
Fardin Jafari, 27, from Saqqez, was shot by government forces while travelling from Saqqez to the city of Baneh, near Aichi cemetery.
This incident occurred in the vicinity of the petrol stations along Baneh Road, in the direction of the cemetery.
Jafari was initially taken to Khomeini Hospital, but later security forces transferred him to Shafa Hospital in Saqqez.
A source from Shafa Hospital told IranWire that although Jafari is still alive, his condition is critical.
